Homeway Sage AI
For Sage to get an understanding of your home, you need to set up Homeway with your Home Assistant.
The Homeway works with any Home Assistant installation and only takes 30 seconds to set up.
Sage AI Setup 🛠️
Setting up Homeway's Sage AI in Home Assistant is easy and only takes 30 seconds. To start, enable Sage by doing the following:
  1. Open Home Assistant in your web browser
  2. Go to the Home Assistant settings
  3. Select "Devices & services"
  4. Find the box in "Discovered" for Homeway Sage
  5. Click the "ADD" button
If you don’t see a Wyoming box in your integrations, follow this guide to manually set up the integration.

Sage AI Setup 🛠️
Finally, you need to create the new Sage Assistant.
  1. Open Home Assistant in your web browser
  2. Go to the Home Assistant settings
  3. Select "Voice assistants"
  4. Click the "Add Assistant" button
  5. Click the "ADD" button
In the Add Assistant profile pop-up:
  1. For "Configuration"
    • Set a name and pick your preferred language
  2. For "Conversation agent"
    • Select "Homeway Sage"
    • Enable "Prefer handling commands locally"
  3. For "Speech-to-text"
    • Select "Homeway Sage" and set your language
  4. For "Text-to-speech"
    • Select "Homeway Sage" and set your language
    • Try different voices to find one you like
  5. When you’re done, select "CREATE"
One last thing! Once you have created the Assistant profile, find the new profile in the list, click the three vertical dot menu, and then select "Set as preferred."
